This article layout about the Mongrel Mob is from a magazine I designed called DESTINATION >>> NEW ZEALAND. I redesigned the contents of the article from Vice magazine and included them in the PEOPLE section of my magazine as a feature article. This was for a class at The University of the Arts which began with a group exercise leading to each student having his/her own project.
Before jumping in, we did an in-depth analysis of an issue of The New York Times. This was done in groups of three where we looked at typographic treatments, hierarchy, page structures, and other uses of graphic elements. We did this for the front articles, non-feature articles, feature openers, and feature articles. Print and digital were also compared.
For our magazines, we had to figure out which departments and feature articles to include.
